Truck-kun finally admits it: the isekai truck is the hero of its own Crazy Taxi

Strange Scaffold's absurdist driving game takes anime's oldest meme death and puts you behind the wheel.

The pitch, played straight

You are The Driver of a magical kei truck with the power to isekai anything it hits. After you crash into a woman named Carissa Ward and transport her to a fantasy world, you owe a soul debt to the buff isekai elf girl living in your head. That is the official premise, and the launch trailer above commits to it completely.

The loop is Crazy Taxi-shaped: timed runs where you run over pedestrians as Truck-kun, sending them to another world to help train the newly isekai'd hero — plus deliveries, and battles against the Skeleton King across the real world and a fantasy realm. The official page calls it a "chaotic OVA-sized campaign", which sets the right expectation: short, dense, ridiculous.

Where to play it

PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X|S have been live since July 29, 2026. The Nintendo Switch 2 version — a collaboration with Frosty Pop — arrived digitally on the eShop on September 14. Demo feedback flagged aggressive police as the main friction point; treat that as a feature of the chaos rather than a bug.
