Aniimo is a free-to-play creature RPG betting everything on one verb: Twine

Catching creatures is familiar; merging with them to see the world through their abilities is the part worth watching.

The continent of Idyll, and the verb that changes it

Aniimo is Funplus' free-to-play, next-gen creature-catching open-world action RPG, built in Unity 6 and set on the vast continent of Idyll. On paper that reads like a familiar checklist: catch, train, evolve, battle. The trailer above shows the part that is genuinely different.

"Twine" lets you merge with an Aniimo and temporarily experience the world through its abilities. The official store page frames this as the way to unlock new abilities and discover hidden wonders — which suggests the map is designed around creature-shaped traversal, not just combat rosters.

Free-to-play, cross-platform, and a one-week gap

PC (Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series X|S launch September 16, 2026, with the mobile version following September 23 — free-to-play with cross-platform support throughout. Co-op multiplayer covers quests and alpha boss battles, so the social loop exists from day one.

The open question for any F2P creature game is monetization shape; nothing official has been detailed yet, and we would rather flag that gap than guess.
